The release date for IRON MAIDEN’S new studio album THE FINAL FRONTIER is now confirmed for  Monday 16th August. Released on May 11 via 60 Cycle Hum/Rocket Science Ventures, the CD "exhibits John 5's incredible diversity as a writer and guitarist pulling from the pages of his life," according to a press release. "It is a completely different vibe than my other albums," explains John 5. 

"Beyond Our Suffering" — the new single off AS I LAY DYING's upcoming CD, "The Powerless Rise" — is now streaming live (70% of the track is available) on the band's MySpace page.

Inspired by the God Of War series, TRIVIUM's new song, "Shattering the Skies Above", appears on the upcoming extended play (EP) soundtrack for the highly anticipated PlayStation3 (PS3) exclusive videogame "God of War III". The EP, titled "God of War: Blood & Metal", will be made available on March 2 via Roadrunner as part of the "God of War III Ultimate Edition", and will feature five exclusive unreleased songs from Roadrunner artists, including KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DREAM THEATER, OPETH and TAKING DAWN.
